Central Youth Ministry: A Community for One
Our Mission: The Central Youth Ministry is an engaging and welcoming community for its youth and their friends that;
Sunday School: Middler Sunday School is for 6th and 7th grade students and meets at 9:30am on Sunday mornings on the Youth Floor. Jr. and Sr. High Sunday School is for 8th - 12th grade students and meets at 9:30 am on Sunday mornings in the Youth Room on the Youth Floor.
Mid-Week Gathering: Middlers is our 6th and 7th grade youth group and is dedicated to learning and applying God's word thru interactive time together in the scriptures. We are in the process of reworking the Middlers program. Check back for updates, or contact Vince with any questions.
Wednesday Night Youth is our 8th - 12th grade youth group and is dedicating to just that; reflecting Christ to one another and to all who we encounter. We meet on Wednesdays from 7-8:30 at Central. We chill, we play, we talk about our lives and God and how it all fits together and we eat!
About our Youth Director, Vince Giordano: Vince graduated from Springfield Township High school in 2005 and Shippensburg University in 2009. He has worked with Oreland Boy Scout Troop 88 for the past six years as a Junior / Senior Assistant Scoutmaster. He has also worked with Education Sports Fun (ESF) summer camps as an aquatics counselor where he taught children with mental and learning disabilities between ages four and fourteen how to swim. In college, Vince tutored for the Shippensburg University Learning Center in the fields of writing process, sociology, and history. He has served as scholarship chair for the National Honor’s Fraternity of Phi Sigma Pi, as well as served as a supplemental instructor for the World History II course at Shippensburg University under Dr. Chandrika Paul. Athletically, Vince was part of his high school water polo team, as well as high school and college swim team. On both aquatics levels, Vince competed at the state championships at Cumberland Valley High School in 2008 and Penn State and Bucknell Universities from 2003 to 2005.
